A working shop rather than a showroom: two karigars upstairs, and most of what is in the case was made in this building. Making runs 12% to 18%. The fringe work on a jhumka is where that number goes up, and it goes up because it takes a week, not because the piece is heavy. We hold the rate ceiling on reservations. Old gold is tested in front of you and the melting loss is 2.5% — half a point more than the lane average, because we melt in smaller lots and the loss is real. The dholna is the piece we are asked for most and stock least. If you want one for a date, come early: it is a week of work and we will not rush it.
