We do plain heavy gold. Kada, chudi, the wide kamarbandh — pieces where the weight is the point and there is very little work on top of it. Making runs 8% to 14%, which is the lowest published band in the city, and it is low for one reason: a plain kada is two days of work and a chandrahar is three weeks. We do not make chandrahars. We do not guarantee a rate ceiling. The price is the price on the day you come, up or down, and we will say so on the phone. Old gold is tested by weight and touchstone rather than XRF, and the melting loss is 3%. You do not watch the test. If that matters to you — and it should — the Sonapatti shops do it differently.
